Hi Jan !!! We were out most of the day, today (7/13/2010). What a joy it was to hear your voice mail. It was our pleasure to be there to celebrate your 75th birthday. What a celebration it was!!! Yes. Carla along with her helpful team -- the immediate family (Joe, Brittney, and Jay) really pulled off an outstandingly successful event. I count it a real blessing to have been a part of the festivities. Finally, I had an opportunity to thank you, in addition to early on, at this current time, for the summer job of which you influenced my hire at the NEA. I have been so grateful for my start in meaningful employment as a result of what you did in my behalf so many years ago. So, it was a pleasure to say "Thank You", publicly, for how you blessed my life in the early days. You have been a positive influence in my life for many, many years. God, actually, gave me the unction to compare you with "The Proverbs 31 Woman." Truly you emulate that woman to which the Psalmist refers. Truly, your children & grandchildren have "risen up and called you a blessing". So.... "my dearest cousin" ... it was my pleasure to honor you, publicly, on your birthday. I pray God's continuous blessings upon you and may you celebrate many, many more wonderful birthdays. I, too, look to the day of a visit with you and Sy in Palm Coast, FL.
